RCPE Symposium: Dermatology, Thursday 15 May 2014. Dermatology matters: 15% of primary care workload is dermatology, physicians and surgeons prescribe drugs that can cause cutaneous adverse effects and many genetic and systemic diseases have dermatological manifestations. The dramatic increase in skin cancer can be attributed, at least in part, to changes in sun exposure. Is there anything good about sun exposure? This symposium will look at what’s new in dermatology, public health in dermatology, with the focus on the balance of sun exposure with regard to possible cardiovascular benefits, and how to manage patients with common inflammatory skin diseases, including the roles of phototherapy and biologics. http://bit.ly/HUQDMT
