Groundbreaking for New AAMC Headquarters

In August 2011, the AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges) finalized the purchase of land in Mount Vernon Triangle, bordered by New York Avenue and Sixth, Seventh, and K Streets, Northwest. A groundbreaking ceremony on June 21, 2012 will mark the beginning of the building project to construct a new headquarters for the association. The AAMC will move into the new building in early 2014. The new headquarters at 655 K Street, N.W. will bring the AAMC?s more than 600 staff under one roof, accommodating expansion needs and modernizing the AAMC?s daily work environment and conferencing capabilities.
