National Anaesthesia Day in Australia and New Zealand is usually held on October 16 to mark the anniversary of the first public demonstration of ether anaesthesia in 1846. Because October 16 falls on a Sunday this year, we're celebrating #NAD16 on Monday October 17 instead. This year's theme is "regional anaesthesia".
